Bullying By: Jarreau Gaines 1. Explain what bullying means to you? How would you describe a bully and a victim of bullying? What treatment options or prevention methods are available for bullying? "Bullying is a persisant pattern of threatening, harrassing or aggresive behavior directed towards another person or persons who are percieved as smaller, weaker or less powerful" (Gale, 2008). A bully to me is someone who has grown up within a household where bullying is a common act, so the child thinks that it is ok to bully others as well because they do not know any better. Bullying can be something as simple as locking another child in a locker, or something more extreme as aggresively sexually harrassing another coworker in the work place. A bully can be both a child or an adult. Often times when a a child is a bully they will carry that behavior in their adult years. When bullying is used in the home it is called child abuse or spousal abuse. Another place that bullying has recieved a lot of attention is in the workplace in
