Eng6933 - Course Information 1 Instructor: Neil Hookey, Ph.D., P.Eng. Office: EN3070 e-mail: [email protected] Web: Phone: 864-2564 Text: Mechanical Vibrations , 6th edition, S.S. Rao, Prentice-Hall, 2013. Note: All previous editions including the softcover SI edition (2004) are acceptable. Lectures: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:00AM in EN1054. Labs: Tuesday at 2:00PM (four or five days only). Office hours: Monday and Wednesday 4:00 - 5:00PM (or by appointment) in EN3070, or via e-mail. When sending e-mail, put 6933 in the subject line. I do not open messages with no subject. I do not answer technical questions on the phone...it does not work. Grading & Schedule: There will be two tests, a final exam and 5-ish labs in the course. To qualify for the marking scheme below a student must pass the final exam or have a passing average in the tests and final exam. Otherwise, the laboratory marks will not be counted and the course mark will be the combination of the test and final exam marks in the proportions shown.
