TECHNICAL ANALYSIS What is Technical Analysis Definition: The study of past trends (price, volume, sentiment) to predict the future of the security. (Under the condition of a freely traded market) Graphical representation of the collective knowledge and sentiment of market participants. Principles of Technical Analysis: Prices discount everything. End result. (political events, economic news, financial data, earnings release, rumors, general sentiment…) Prices move in trends. (Not random). History repeats itself (Price patterns, trading psychology, statistics: descriptive, inference).
