PCB Standards and Specifications Class 1: (lowest level) is for general electronic products , including consumer products, some computers, and computer peripherals Class 2: is for dedicated service electronics , which includes communications equipment, sophisticated business machines, instruments and military equipment where performance and extended life are required, but for which uninterrupted service is not critical Class 3: is for high-reliability electronic products , including commercial, military, and life-supporting products where continued performance or performance on demand is critical and equipment downtime cannot be tolerated
