Students will study and perform easy standard selections of thesmall jazz ensemble repertoire. This class will be divided into multiple small jazz ensembles. Publicperformance required. Class format includes daily evaluation and performance of assigned material.Student Learning Outcomes:Upon satisfactory completion of this course, the student will be ableto:•Demonstrate a basic knowledge of standard forms, procedures and responsibilities whileperforming at a beginning level a small set of easy standard selections of the small jazzensemble repertoire.•Employ fundamental improvisational techniques while performing easy standard selectionsof the small jazz ensemble repertoire.
