Running Head: GENETIC NURSING ASSESSMENT 1 Sickle Cell Trait Student’s Name Institutional Affiliation Sickle Cell Trait Introduction Genetic conditions affect many individuals in the current world and have contributed to additional budgets. The disorders include the sickle cell anemia and other diseases of unknown etiologies that characterize specific familial lines. Therefore, people should be fully aware of the diseases so that they can make appropriate judgments concerning their health status. This in turn reduces mortalities caused by the conditions. Health History of each Family Member I have used my family to bring out how a genetic condition that has characterized our lifestyle for almost a century. The count begins with my grandfather and grandmother who in the actual sense are still alive and well. It then continues to my parents who are also alive. I am in a family of four which constitutes two ladies and three gentlemen. I am forty eight years and free from the genetic disorder which is sickle cell anemia. The generation discussed starts with my grandfather, 87 years. My father stands at 60 years of age. Growth and Development Variations of the Family Members
