Part C [20 marks] Mini-case: Two years ago the Ngati District Council (NDC), spearheaded by Janine, a local NDC counsellor, set up the Ngati Community Computer Centre (N3C) in the centre of the Ngati township to ensure those Ngati residents lacking in personal resources still had access to computer facilities, for free, including the Internet, email, word processing, and printing, as well as training on their use. By enhancing their ICT skills, many Ngati residents grew more confident with job applications, CV development, etc. This was part of the NDC’s plan to improve the economic and social development of the district.
