The blind man has been friends with the narrator’s wife for years. The narrator explained how his wife met her friend and shared with us parts of her past. The narrator seemed to be uncomfortable and jealous with the idea of the blind man in his house. The narrator told his wife that he didn’t like the fact that another man is coming to see her, and she gave him an ultimatum by saying “If you love me, you can do this for me.” So, despite his jealousy and uncomfortableness, he tried his best to make the blind man comfortable.
