How to enter the classroom - Students will line up in the hallway by my door against the wall until I invite them in. - I will greet them as they enter. - They will head to their assigned seat. - They will take out homework and turn it in. - They will be allowed to quietly talk with the students beside them until the bell rings. - They will stay in their seats. 2. What to do when the bell rings - When the bell rings I will close the door. - They will look at the agenda to see what will be done in class and begin the bellwork. - I will play some classical music to help my students focus. - Students will have 15 min to do bellwork. - After 15 min I will start the lesson. 3. What to do with homework - I will have a designated homework basket. - They will turn in their homework after they enter the class, get to their desk and get their homework out. - I will remove the homework box after the bell rings and class begins. - Anyone who does not get it in the box will have their homework be marked late. - I will give students a three to a five-minute window after the bell rings to avoid possible confrontations and to keep things fair.
