Prisca Sakeuh - TTT 552 Assignment 3.2 1. You had a situation with a female student in your class about her behavior within your classroom and her lack of assignment completions. Since you worked hard to establish a good rapport with your students at the beginning of the school year you were able to work with the student and together come up with a plan of improvement. The student’s grade for the semester, however, will still reflect her lack of commitment. Once report cards have gone out, you return to school to find an irate parent waiting for you in the office. Standing next to him/her is the student that you worked with to create a plan of improvement. The parent began to rage at you about the low grade as the student looks at you with apologetic eyes. How could you have avoided this situation? Is this situation based on a lack of responsibility on your part? The student’s part? The parent’s part? When someone becomes a parent their kids are the most important thing on the planet. They will do anything to protect them from danger and will love their kids more than life itself. So, why a parent not be upset when something happens to their children and they do not find out about it or don’t have a chance to be involved. There are many cases where school had the students in dangerous situations and didn’t contact their parents. Of course the parents were very upset they found out by someone other than the schools. Whether it is gang activity, bus accidents or unsuitable learning environments schools and parents need to have strong communication to have a strong relationship and make the most for the kids to have a safe place to learn. Parents and teacher communications are one of the most important things to have for parents so that they can make the most out their children's learning at school. It is important that parents proactive. They should talk with the teachers about how their children are doing nd if there is a problem it can be talked about and discussed so it doesn’t sit around and get worse. These problems are not self solving problems. Parents

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
