Fox 1 Kailey Fox Mr Cavanaugh English 11 19 September 2017 Milestones Imagine your house is burning down and you can take three things from your home. What would you take? Would they be sentimental items, items that bring you comfort, or something entirely different? In Anne Bradstreet’s poem Verses Upon the Burning of Our House she talks about how she misses certain aspects of her home and how she wishes she could have taken things with her. If I could take something I would take the things that remind me of the three biggest milestones in my life. I would take a family picture, a necklace, and two rings. These items seem like small, materialistic things but represent so much more to me and have some of my most important memories behind them. The first thing I would grab is a picture of my deceased grandmother and I from when I was a little girl. The picture has sat in a frame she has given me on my window sill for years. In
