Sara Haridi Assignment 7 1. In a general sense, what kinds of decisions are made in baseball? Would you characterize these decisions as structured or unstructured problems? Explain. What type(s) of decision-making condition would you consider this to be? Explain. --- Both types of decisions is structured as well as unstructured.Structed is related to game strategy such as the pitch of the ball, whether to keep it low or high and more on the other decisions such as to keep the ball inside swing, outside wing etc, under batting conditions is determined by the flow of the slagger timing and placement. However the unstructured decision is basically in direct relation to the game such as my injury, dehydration, water requirement, drinks, change of flagger or ball. 2. Is it appropriate for baseball managers to use only quantitative, objective criteria in evaluating their players? What do you think? Why? --- Quantitive method is required for decision making keeping the current conditions and provision of a feasible solution for the problem. Decision making is crucial for survival.
