Being the only one in my family to go to college and graduate with a high level of education means a lot to me. It brings a whole new meaning to fulfillment. Having a college education means I get to gain knowledge first and foremost, a possible well-paying career that will allow me to support myself and my family significantly, and a sense of productivity. As of right now, I can honestly say I did not want and possibly still do not want to be a psychology major. Being very candid and transparent, I can say nothing interests me about psychology. It’s a field that I was more persuaded to complete because of my financial status rather than love or interest. My previous major was biology which I absolutely love. Biology heightens my interest to the fullest because it explains life and how it works. I love it because I can put it towards everyday life. Being that biology goes hand-in-hand with chemistry, it makes me love chemistry as well. I love the way chemistry explains a lot and has to do with everything from something as common as cooking, all the way to why beach water is cold in the morning and hot at night.
