Rylee Saunders & Lindsey Scheivert Chem 403 9/23/18 Quantitative Aspects of Working With Solutions Part I: Making Iced Tea 1.) Of solutions 1, 2, and 3, 1 was the darkest in color, 3 was the lightest, and 2 was in the middle of the two shades. 2.) Of solutions 4, 5, and 6, 4 was the darkest, followed by 5, and 6 being the lightest in shades. 3.) In the comparison of solutions 1,2,3 and solutions 4,5,6, one would observe that they are extremely similar results. 1 + 4 match in color and concentration, 2 + 5 are a match, and 3 + 6 are a match, respectively. 4.) We devised two new solutions that were in the same numerical parameters as the original concentrations used in the experiment. The numerical value we developed in question 4 was concentration , a measure of grams mL . Our experiment included two new solutions: one to be made with 0.400 g of iced tea and 250 mL of water and the other with 0.60 g in 300 mL water. Recipe 1= 0.400 g 250 mL = 0.0016 g/mL Recipe 2= 0.60 g 300 mL = 0.0020 g/mL

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
