Austin Williams Elementary Psych Paper#1 As a previous bed wetter in my early childhood, an appealing experiment would be to try to decrease the detrimental behavior of bed wetting with positive reinforcement. Many children suffer from the detrimental habit of bed wetting the object of the experiment will be to see if through the use of positive reinforcement, a reward of a quarter, will the habit comes to an end. The group of people that I will be conducting my study will be children who wet the bed; 100 children, ages 2-5 years old. The behavior which I am trying to alter is bed wetting. I want to evaluate if through the positive reward of a quarter, will the children at last stop wetting the bed. B.F. Skinner defines operant conditioning as a type of learning in which behavior is influenced by the consequences that trail. The course of action will consist of a reward of a quarter, in order to decrease the behavior, bed wetting. This is called positive reinforcement which can be defined as a particular behavior
