Sacha Edward E01- Careers in Early Childhood Education Assignment 8 Saturday 30 th March, 2019 Teaching and Emotions Introduction For this assignment, I will discuss the three objectives I will be using to teach a 5 year old. I will adapt a curriculum and write a plan that I feel best suits them. I will also discuss how understanding change can be incorporated into lessons. I will also be deliberating in this paper the emotions and predicaments that children have and how I can help them cope. Lastly, I will do a concept web on the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct. Objectives The three points I would use to teach a five year old would be; High Scope, Creative Curriculum, and Tools of the Mind. For using High Scope I would sit the child down and allow her to plan her activity for an hour. I would have her tell me what center she plans to play in, what she will be playing, and even who she may be playing with. This will allow her to feel like she is in control of her learning in a safe environment. After the activity hour is up I will then ask her to give a summary of what she did and why.
