What are the major challenges and barriers facing organizations trying to improve performance in today's economy? The challenges and barriers may differ from the size of the company, the type of industry, state of economy and global affairs, technology etc. Hence it is critical to plot the exact status of the organization considering the above parameters to ascertain type of challenges and barriers. Some of the broad challenges and barriers for organizations are as follows: Technological advancements: To be cost effective and compatible with the social needs. The initial investment of getting it, maintenance and running expenses is inhibitive. Again the life span of this technology is also uncertain and companies need to reinvest in this technology to sustain their relevance. Sustainable growth and development: this is growing in importance by the day
