First Order Filter Equipment Required: 1- Triple power supply 1- 741 OP AMP 1- Digital multimeter 1- 0.0097uF capacitor 1- 1k W resistor 1- 4.71k W resistor 1- Protoboard 1- Oscilloscope 1- Function generator 1- Frequency counter Purpose: The objective of this experiment is to introduce the first order filter (high pass and low pass) analysis and design. 1. Filter design The passband gain is equal to –1.5, i.e. 5 . 1 1 2 R R Adding the last digit of our ID numbers, we obtain 4 which correspond to a value of 7 kHz Thus, with F c = 7 KHz, c c F * * 2 43960 c but 1 1 CR c with C = 0.01 F R 1 = 2.274K R 2 = 3.41K Low pass filter:

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
