Objective: The purpose of the experiment is to identify and to verify the circuit transfer functions and to practice transfer function design. Procedure: Determining, through the circuit, the appropriate frequency needed for the capacitor to fully charge, which in turn led us to determine T c for the first part of this experiment. For the second part of the experiment, we will design our own circuit such that: T v ( s ) = s s + 1 T c = s s + 10 5 Results: Part 1 Part 2

RC=5x10 5 (given) f= 9kHz In the first case dt = 9.92 µs= T c ≈ 10 -5 In the second case dt = 9.28 µs = T c ≈ 10 -5 Case 1: Case 2: Sample Calculations:

Prelab: T c =RC 1 RC = 10 5 T 2 > 5 T c T 2 > 5 × 10 5 f = 1 T f = 9 kHz Lab: Case 1: T v ( s ) = 1 T c s + 1 T c = 10 5 s + 10 5 G ( s ) = 1 s ×T v ( s ) = 10 5 s ( s + 10 5 )

Case 2: T v ( s ) = s s + 1 T c = s s + 10 5 T c = 10 5 ; T c = RC , R=1kΩ , C=0.01µF G ( s ) = 1 s ×T v ( s ) = s s ( s + 10 5 )

    As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

    The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
