While reading of the “Communication Habits of Engineers” article, I had paid close attention to specific details. Of course, the article goes into how engineers must work together to not only complete tasks, but specifically what goes into the writing process. While engineers may not be particularly excited about the writing or the process that goes into their writing, it delves into the “Why”. Many engineers find it difficult to write about their process, the options of starting with the first step and continuing from there, while others prefer to start writing their process after they have finished – unfortunately there may be an issue with accuracy when things are written afterwards. Another area that is delved into is the effect of time constraints on writers, specifically deadlines. If a project is finished and all that is left is writing, a deadline should be manageable.
