CRIMINAL JUSTICE A crime is often defined as a wrong against society that proclaimed by law, and that if committed under specific circumstances, is punishable by the Criminal Justice System. Many citizens who commit said crimes vary in age, race, gender, and backgrounds, but what connects them all is the will and/or desire to commit these crimes. In this essay, I will describe what the typical offender and victim are portrayed as through the use of statistics reported in Walker et al. and Britton et al., as well ad discussing disparities across racial, ethnic, and gender groups, and what they say about this “justness” of the Criminal Justice System. In these such crimes including homicides, robbery, aggravated assault, etc. many people portray the offender and victims as a certain race, sex, and ethnicity. This can be shown through many different statistics in the Walker et al. and Britton et al. text books.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
