Comparison of Macbeth and Napoleon Introduction Shakespeare and George Orwell are prominent authors known globally, and whose literary works continue to aspire many young writers. Macbeth, a character in Shakespeare's text entitled Macbeth and Napoleon in Animal Farm by Orwell being the main characters in the articles. Consequently, the two authors through their creativity, they have effectively represented their ideas through utilization of well-developed characters. As a result, political ambitions have been well addressed throughout their artworks. The two characters in both texts portray similar and close perspectives in tackling political undertakings. However, in many scenarios differences have been witnessed as the writers aver. Therefore, this paper seeks to clarify the dissimilarities between Macbeth and Napoleon, as well similarities towards becoming leaders of their fiction empires developed by Shakespeare and Orwell . Similarities between the Two Characters as They Rose to Power To begin with, both characters were primarily military personnel according to the description prevalent in the two articles. In that context, Macbeth was a general from a noble background while George Orwell’s character (Napoleon) was a leader in the army (Seo, 2018) . Consequently, the two acquired leadership tactics while in services, which they later employed in their subjects. However, military skills entail austerity and, thus, administration techniques of the two characters were profoundly oppressive as the authors attest.
