Character Profile – Coach Gaines Instructions: While reading each chapter, make note of characteristics about Coach Gaines. Characteristics Dedicated Coach/Teacher Inspirational Handsome He is extreme on his speeches but were also usually short Evidence Chapter 12 tells you about what Coach Gaines went through when they lost from the extreme measures fans were taking you can tell he is dedicated by how he stayed the coach through all that pg.12 pg.12 pg.12 pg. 12 Overview Coach Gaines was the Permian football coach and a teacher at Permian High. His speeches were either sweet and short but when it came to the big game he went extreme. He was hated when they lost and loved when they won. His life was based on his job as a coach.
