CHAPTER 3 Research Methodology 3.1Introduction The purpose of this research study is to investigate how use of technology affects the Student Academic Performance in higher Secondary Level in district Mastung. The previous chapter provided comprehensivetheoretical and empirical evidence on the issue under consideration. This chapter explains the methodological steps and procedure adopted in the study. The study is dominantly quantitative. However, the questionnaire carried some open ended questions which provided some qualitative data. Broadly speaking, the study combined quantitative and qualitative methods to have rich data and analysis. Mixed Methods (MM) ideally includes the benefits of both methods (Johnson, Onwuegbuzie, &Turner, 2007). Thus, the mix method approach was adopted to have a comprehensive understanding of the use of technology and its effect on student outcome.
