2 DEATH BY CHOICE Annotated Bibliography Aleccia, J. (2018, March 6). This couple died by assisted suicide together. Here’s their story. Time. Retrieved from This article documents the decision of an elderly terminally ill couple who resided in Oregon and with the aid of their physician and support their family the couple used the Death with Dignity Act to end their lives. This article walks you through end of their life through statements made by family who has documented the couple in their final days via video. This article compliments my other sources as it discusses a personal journey of a single couple. The one limitation that I found with this article what was that it would’ve been nice do you have a quote from a couple which could’ve been taken directly from the video. Clinard, M. B. & Meier, R. F. (2016). Sociology of deviant behavior (15 th ed.). Boston, MA: Cengage Learning. In this text Clinard and Meier touched on physician assisted suicide (PAS) discussing the moral and social implications of the act hearing. They gave several examples people who completed the act including one of the most controversial pioneers in PAS. Including information on a prominent PAS physician when he was not really known compliments my other research as this discusses a high-profile case. However, the limitations of this text are that the authors did not delve deeper into the societal implications.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
