My Way To Success It was dereliction itself that gave me the knowledge to strive to be the absolute best I could be in life no matter my circumstances. When I started high school, I planned on being my class' valedictorian and active in many sports. However, I ran into my first challenge when I found out I was pregnant a little after the start of my tenth grade school year. I truly thought my life was ending and I failed myself. As time passed, I thought wholly on the ways I could still be successful with an infant in high school. Growing up wasn't hard like some kids have it, but it wasn't the best either. My great grandmother was the closest thing to the second parent I had. She helped my mother raise my siblings and I. Eventually, cancer overcame her and ran through her body faster than expected. Lost her all in the time of me trying to figure out how I was going to manage life with a child on the way. I knew she would help to support, guide, and protect me in this chaotic world. However, god had other plans for us. Now it was specifically on me to figure it all out.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
