Adam Weinberg Philosophy of Religion (PHIL320) Mid-Term Paper 24 April 2011 As the first half of this class comes to a close, I have learned a great deal concerning many of  the questions we have discussed.  Moreover, the text book encourages quite intuitive thinking on  several different viewpoints and classifications among religions and sub-religions.  The reading sparks  quite deep insightful analogies that I have not considered prior to this class.  It, also, assists with  broader perspectives among theology, as well as, religious philosophies among society.  These  philosophies  can be  summarized through our class discussion questions. God created everything including us; therefore, he can be described as all-powerful.  How else  can you describe a being that can create something as vast as an entire universe or something as  precious as life?  As the textbook indicates, he can also be describe as timeless.  He is not governed by  the rules of time and we could say that he made the rules of time.  God is all-good in that everything he  does is for a positive purpose and ultimately for the destruction of evil.  In addition to his character, he  also created us and wants a personal relationship with us.  There are many avenues God can converse  with humans.  I believe he talks to us through our thoughts, but also speaks to us through visions.  I  have seen him speak to me through other people, Bible studies, movies, television, and even books.  He also interacts with us through our trials and tribulations leaving us with the choice of listening and  following him or moving in the other direction.  While these words describe God and how he interacts  with humans, how much of him do we truly understand?

"Before using Course Hero my grade was at 78%. By the end of the semester my grade was at 90%. I could not have done it without all the class material I found."

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
