Deepwater Horizon movie is based on true event about oil disaster in U.S in the Gulf of Mexico on 10 April 2010. Overall, the movie show work challenges on oil rig. Introduction begins with how the family was left behind for 21 days, and how the worker enjoys their job at the same times can’t wait to go back to their family. The highlights of the story begin when the integrity of cement test was suspicious by crew in Deepwater Horizon. The Schulumburger team who do the cement job was sent home early without ensure the cement was really concrete enough to be used. No supportive document to prove the facility provided is safe for next stage process. Thus, a chain of equipment malfunctions due to the cement problem, its blowout and destroy everything. The Stakeholder in this movie is everything directly or indirectly affected other than shareholder. From our point of view, firstly the most affected stakeholder is environment in Gulf of Mexico - Marine life, their stake are the life of the sea is affected by oil spill and the contaminated sea atmosphere. Second is crew’s family, obviously their stake is their beloved family that is crew member in Deepwater Horizon. Third is, crew itself, their stake is their safety, health and trauma trailed will make them lose confidence to work at offshore. Lastly is government. The government stakes is income tax decreased as BP is among the contributors of national income tax. From our point of view, in this movie the villain actor is Donald Vidrine. His ethical dilemma comes together with aggressive character. He wants to ensure the oil-absorbing work on the platform can be implemented immediately. This is because the cost has been excessively spent and the percentage of profits will decrease. Hero is Mike Williams. His ethical dilemma show when Mike absolutely sure that there is something wrong when he found out the cement log is not provided and the first negative test failed, he surely think the process of excavation of oil should not be done, but he can’t do anything. Under Kohlberg cognitive moral development theory Mike at post- conventional stages because he has a firm stand. This is shown when Donald Vidrine comes to Mike room, to discuss how to gone through the oil digging process even though the test is failed. Mike strictly tell him nothing can be done, the negative result is absolute measure he also ready to face any challenge but he ever thinked any other second opinion (change the test results).

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
