However, the news department do not describe the issues with a lens related to occupation or occupational therapy. Drug abuse among the youth is a major community health issue that is affecting many American residents. The information is based on a recent news story by CNN that highlighted the agony of parents whose children have resorted to the use of drugs instead of concentrating on studies (Das et al., 2016). Additionally, school teachers and principals recognize that they have many students who have been addicted to drugs, and thus they find it difficult concentrating in studies.
