Week 3 Main post Summary of the article that you located. The article I chose was “A systematic review of smoking Youths’ perceptions of addiction and health risks associated with smoking: Utilizing the framework of the health belief model.” The purpose of this review was to evaluate youth perceptions of drug addiction, health risks and consequences of those actions. Five databases were reviewed for articles and their relationships to the topic revealing ten usable case studies tallying 2500 people. These were reviewed and evaluated on risk perception according to susceptibility, severity, barriers, and benefits. Perception played a role in health risk further by dividing the people into two groups of optimistic smokers and pessimistic non-smokers. (Mantler, 2012). So, in a nutshell, does the threat of complications or life-threatening diseases play a role in the decision to partake in illegal and non-illegal activities that could impact their health?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
