Week 6 main discussion post The Title of the Study That You Selected The article that I chose to review was “An intervention program to promote health-related physical fitness in nurses.” The article was set up as a quasi-experimental study that took place at a medical center in Taiwan (Yuan et al., 2009). Due to the numerous musculoskeletal injuries that occur to nurses during work they wanted to see if instead of treating injuries as they occur if there wasn't a preventative measure that could be put in place. So, they decided to do a study on the effects of exercise and nurses to see if having nurses exercise would decrease the amount of injury’s that occur (Yuan et al., 2009). The study consisted of a group of 90 nurses that worked on five different hospital units volunteered and were then further divided into two groups. The two groups consisted of an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group worked out on a treadmill for three months. All nurses received a health assessment pre and post study to assess the level of fitness. (Yuan et al., 2009). Also, when the study was complete logistic regression was used to adjust for marital status, work duration, regular exercise, and workload. In the end, it was the experimental group that fared better than the control group

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
