REASONS FOR BOSTON TEA PARTY 2 Reasons for the Boston Tea Party The Boston Tea Party doing of 1773 is considered as an act of terrorism according to an article by HuffPost, (2012) because it involved sabotaging of property in unlawful act. However, there are still arguments that act was a moved to bring to attention the pleas of the American colonists under the oppressive rule of the British. The Sons of Liberty movement lead by one Samuel Adams wore disguising Native attires and went on with the act of dumping tones of tea in water at the Boston Harbor as a form of cold protest. The aim of the “party” was a move to bring to attention various issues that the colonists thought had unfair treatment ( Williamson, Skocpol, & Coggin, 2011). According to the aforementioned, the cause of this particular incident resulted from various reasons that infuriated the Americans at the time and which are highlighted herein.
