MOTOR LEARNING 2 The Applicability of Motor Learning to Neurorehabilitation What is required in order to almost fully learn complex everyday tasks? In addition, how does this help those who have suffered from a stroke? Author John W. Krakauer states that in order for us to almost fully learn how to perform everyday tasks that are more on the complex side of the spectrum, we must have a combination of “instruction and knowledge combine with adaptation, reinforcement, and acuity mechanisms” (2015, pg. 56). The combination of instruction with the use of imitation will help the patient grasp the bigger movements that they are wanting to learn. From there, once the practice of the mean movement has been repeated over and over again, this movement will become more precise as well as reinforced with the patient.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
