Study Guide Exam I General guidelines and information The exam will have 30 questions for 75 minutes with 5 extra credit questions. There will be two main activities with multiple choice questions, fill-in-the-blank, short answers type questions. Use the lecture slides and what was said in class as your primary source for materials that will be on the test. The exam will cover materials covered in Lectures 1 to 5 (next Tuesday). Review all the questions that were worked in class, for homework. Refer to the Bloom’s taxonomy to understand what I mean when I say I start testing at the “UNDERSTANDING” level and then up. Identify all the keywords highlighted in RED/BLUE or bolded on the slide decks and be able to properly use them in sentences. Overview of microbiology What is microbiology? Why is it important? What are the different groups of microbes? How do they differ from each other in their cellular composition? How do helminths defy the definition of what a microbe is? Why are they included in microbiology?
