While some believe in the freedom of speech and opinion on social, I believe that employers should get real world consequences for representing their employer in a negative way. The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” In contrast to that claim, an article by Sara Hawkins states “Fortunately, the U.S. Supreme Court over time has created a number of categories of speech that are not afforded protection.
