HLTH 2000: SPRING 2018 BEHAVIOR CHANGE PROJECT Public Health Education, many times, involves helping others to make changes in their health behaviors. In order to fully appreciate the behavior change process, you will select a health behavior in which you will work to modify during a six-week period. STEPS: 1. Select a behavior you want to change 2. Research the behavior you want to change (see directions below). 3. Set a reasonable, manageable goal that you can accomplish in 6 weeks. 4. Outline a plan of action for accomplishing your goal. Include what you will do, how will you do it, how often you will do it, when you will start, with whom you will do it, and when you hope to reach your goal. 5. Keep a daily checklist for the six weeks (to be turned in with final report). 6. At the end of the six-week-period, prepare a two to three-page typed paper regarding your experience - DUE April 16 th . DAILY CHECKLIST 1. Checklist: Develop eight strategies that you think you can do each day that will assist you in making progress toward your behavior change goal. Record the
