Some peoplemay wonder how ‘college success’ would be defined. College success is achieved when a studentis able to manage their money properly, maintain good health, and find a balance between theiracademic and social life. This can be seen as intimidating by teens and young adults becausepeers who have gone before them tell of all the struggles they faced. What they are not told isthat their success is in their own hands. No matter their needs, background, or desires, studentsseeking a positive college career must make the choice to fight their obstacles and develop asuccessful motivation.One way that the process of developing that successful motivation can be obstructed is byphysical and emotional needs not being met outside of school. An example of a physical need notbeing met is a student who has not had proper food for a few days (or just a few hours).
