Community Relations and Police
Around My Neighborhood
Every neighborhood is unique in their own way. Within these neighborhoods are
communities. These communities contain residents and police. The relationship between the
residents and the police is important. The stronger the relationship, the more efficient the jobs get
done. Every neighborhood has its problems and it’s up to the people to report them and the police
to solve them.
The neighborhood I live in is in Ridgewood, Queens. My neighborhood is a relatively
good one to live in. Despite how peaceful the neighborhood is, it has its flaws. One issue, in my
neighborhood, that I believe needs to be addressed is the traffic lights around my block. On one
corner there is a Japanese noodle shop and across the street there is a post office. On that corner a
lot of cars turn onto Freshpond, because it’s a busy street. People have to be extra cautious
because a car can turn while they’re crossing and hit them.
