Beauty is a major industry that atttracts a significant amount of women. However the products used in the cosmetics contain traces of heavy metals such as lead. The use of lead in an industrial application is wide and hence chances of contamination are high (Altraide, 2018). The purification of materials and chemicals used in the manufacturing of cosmetic products as lipstick, facial makeups, and hair color is not effective. Background Information

The traces of lead found in cosmetic product poses a huge danger to users. Lead has been discovered to be highly toxic when exposed to human beings even animals in high quantities (Ramos-Trevino et al., 2016). High amount lead traces have been found in cosmetic products and also cases of poising or gradual cases of adverse effects from prolonged use of cosmetic products among women have been published.
