Hi everyone, My name is Anne Murtha I am a single mom who resides in Long Island, NY. I’m currently a senior here at SNHU planning on graduating in May, 2019. I’m currently pursuing my B.S. in Healthcare Information Management. I’ve worked in the healthcare industry for the last 11 years with a focus in the Revenue Cycle Management financial side of the world. I’m really looking forward to this course to help further my knowledge on data sets as well as database systems and the coding processes. In order to ensure an effective CDI process, I would first start out by evaluating the current process for break downs in the process flow. In my eyes you cannot implement a fix if you’re not sure where to start fixing in the first place. I would strongly suggest meeting with the medical directors, physicians and staff to get their feedback on the current coding process and try and pin point where the disconnect is taking place. Is it just the query process that the physicians are struggling with or is it a software issue or possibly an education and documentation issue. Is the
