1 Yadira Gonzalez Ms. Haines Political Science 17 June 2018 CAW- Federalism 1. Define federalism and the supremacy clause. Federalism is a system that allows two or more governments to share control over the same geographic region. This system divides our central government and regional government, and sets our limits in which it allows to two more governments share control over the same geographic region. The supremacy clause is a section of the Constitution where it states the Constitution and federal laws are the supreme law of the land. The supremacy clause specifies which powers the government has and which powers the government does not have. 2. Do you think regulation of marijuana (medical and/or recreational) should be the responsibility of the states or the national government? Why or why not?
