Emphasize the problems for implementation of telemedicine Canon hospital is a 189-bed facility located in the rural area in Texas. Canon hospital is about 100 to 150 miles away from the two primary medicals centers of excellence. Due to the lack of access to quality care, the human resource leaders in the critical care and neurology departments want to create Telemedicine. What is Telemedicine? * “is the remote delivery of health care services and clinical information using telecommunications technology. This includes a wide array of clinical services using internet, wireless, satellite and telephone media” (American Telemedicine Association [ATA], 2018). The telemedicine service's primary function is to provide services and care to patients in the ICU and emergency room, displaying signs and symptoms of stroke. Also, technology is one of the most significant factors for a healthcare organization to make sure it is up-to-date for accuracy (Gao, Li & Luo, 2015).

Opportunities for telemedicine program By creating the telemedicine model at Canon hospital, it may or can improve the following items: Increase the percentage of patient and family satisfaction Patient’s health may improve due to the advance technology The patient may or can receive an easy access to high-quality healthcare remotely The patient will had the chance to understand his or her health better

Legal and regulatory concerns The following legal/regulatory is critical: Privacy protection, network security Medical practitioner licensing and compensation of fraud and corruption online Confidentiality of patient’s information We need to create an instructions manual regarding who can use the service, how exams will be conducts, radiology image diagnosing, delays due to connectivity issues, and licensure prosecutions, and the disclosure of patient health information (Greve, 2015).
