ADVERTISING ANALYSIS AND PRESS RELEASE CRITIQUE 2 Part one: ADVERTISING ANALYSIS Introduction Advertising is a method or means of communication to reach the public where the involved party pays a certain fee so that the information is effective to the targeted group on a certain product or service. Advertisement, in this case, is business oriented. Information asymmetry prevents market failure hence advertisement is important for effective communication to the public. In this case, a recent coca cola electronic versions of an advertisement print out is used to explain advertisement. It explains the targeted groups, the main purpose and its impact on the audience

This is clearly shown on the attached document. Any advert reflects a certain group that mostly uses the commodity or a where the product might be having high interest. Coca-Cola is a global company. That is, its products are worldwide. It has products like Dasani water, soda among many. Intended effect An advertisement has a direct benefit or indirect benefit to the manufacturer. In this case, Coca-cola has a purpose on why to advertise its products. Some of the reasons why it has to advertise are;

Coca-Cola has a competitor known as Pepsi which is also a global Company. Because of this it has to show how best it is and one way to communicate to the users of its products is through advertising New products The advertisement is a means which is used to inform the consumers about a new product in the market. This will create awareness hence profit margins will go up because of higher prices due to high demand. What is misleading or interesting on advertising and how? Information asymmetry Advertisement can lead to wrong information about a product hence low demand of the advertised product. The advertisement may also have incomplete information. Our case shows
