What procedure was intended? Why did it have to be converted? What were the abnormal findings? Be sure to explain any medical terms used in your response. ii) The operative report shows the planned procedure was to be a laparoscopic procedure and altered because of the gangrenous gall bladder was found and it was inflamed. Thus, the procedure had to be altered to cholecystectomy. Not only was the gallbladder cut out the procedure, but a fraction of the liver had to be detached to be inspected as to make sure the liver was still able to be inspected if there was any more bleeding. iii) The abnormal findings were the gangrenous gallbladder with about 50-100 small gallstones.
