How does Christopher Grow? He grows through an external force... namely his father forcing him to
leave in his own mind as he believes his father is a murderer. He grows because he becomes
independent... he begins to learn what love truly means... and he actively chooses to be smart... signs of
How does Dad grow? He grows because of his wife. His wife left, and in his mind, he had no choice but to
save Christopher from the pain. however, he is emotionally destroyed once Christopher learns that his
mother is not dead and that his father had lied to him as well as killed wellington. He learns not to lie..
that sometimes, the truth is better and will cause less damage than the lie. He also learns that trust once
lost is extremely hard to regain... He gains ethical knowledge of trust... of Christopher's love.
How does Mom grow? She grows because direclty of Christopher.. She could never handle Christopher's
outbursts and although it took her many years to finally deal with it... She finally matured into a patient
adult. Sort of a delayed reaction. Christopher is the External force acting on her... causing a delayed
reaction of growth. she finally becomes patient and willing to deal with Christopher because Christopher
forced her to grow.
Odyssey: Telemachus grows because of the threat and athena. He is forced to grow, because if he does
not his household will surely fade away. Although he doesn't make his own decisions in the beginning,
he reasserts himself. by making a decision without the help of Athena and forcefully says that he cannot
