4.03 Urbanization Ciara Goins April 3, 2019 Lydia Goodrum Purpose: The objective of this lab is to learn to describe resources and environmental problems faced by urban areas, evaluate a sustainable urban environment, and examine the process of ecological land-use planning. In this simulation, we analyze habitat loss factor, habitat loss rate, and food production variation. We use the animal’s motivation- eating and reproduction- to determine how these factors have an effect on their population size. Data and Observations: Initial Graph Prediction 1: If we increase the habitat loss factor, the population will decrease. The habitat loss factor in this trial is the independent variable. The total population, estimated maximum, and number of males and females are all dependent variables. The control variables are the time limit (5000), loss time (10), and variation (0). My hypothesis was incorrect. As the habitat loss factor was increased, so did the population. Prediction 2: If we increase the habitat loss time, the population will decrease. The animal population is the

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
