The main variable in this study was the condition and back round of the women; whether or not they had been taking ET for long period of time, abruptly stopped after >5 years, or if they possessed a uterus, All these things played a factor in this complex study. Overall, women who had used only ET had a slightly increased risk, and women who had used only EPT had a slightly reduced risk of epithelial ovarian cancer. All in all, the risk increased with the duration of ET use increasing.
