CRITIQUE PAPER 2 Introduction The introduction part of this study is clear and concise as it gives a sound written problem statement of the research. In addition, the introduction gives a clear explanation of interest of the researcher on the differences between syndromal and subsyndromal depression at very old age. However, the problem that initiated the research work is not clearly described early in the study. Review of Literature Study The literature review of the study extensively highlights previous research work by various researchers on the same topic of study. For instance, past research have proved it difficult to clearly distinguish between syndromal, subsyndromal depressive states and normal aging (Ludvigsson, Milberg, Marcusson, & Wressle, 2014). However, the literature review lacks a clear heading. Moreover, major topics in the review revolves around the definition of the various types
