Assignment 2 BOS 3525 During an OSHA walk thru tour, the OSHA inspector points out several issues that can be apparent violations. Here is the list of apparent violations he notices and corrective actions he takes: 1.Heavy daze of smoke present in the welding area. As per OSHA standard 1910.251 and 252 that states the following use of a local or portable welding ventilation system and must remove hazardous gases and fumes from the welding operation point of operation. Perform an air sampling survey immediately on the existing ventilation system , and see if the existing system is adequate or if the system need to be replaced. If replacement is the option it would be best to purchase a portable welding ventilation system ASAP, until the project is complete. 2. Employees wearing respirator with full beards: As per OSHA standard 1910.134 (f) that states the following: Facial hair that comes between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interferes with valve function, or any condition that interfere with the face-to-facepiece seal. I have instructed area leads personnel to have all employees be clean shave if they use a respirator on a daily basis, effective immediately. 3.Employees not wearing eye protection while using chemicals and no emergency eye wash station. As per OSHA standard 1910.151(c) and 1910.133 that states where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injury corrosive material, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes or body shall be provided within the work place for immediate emergency use and protect the eyes and face area from chemical splashes and eye absorption hazards.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
