Michael Symonds Professor Stiles Systems Analysis January 28th, 2019 Chapter 3 Questions 1. We managing a project you must understand a few key concepts so that you project can continue without a hitch. First off you must understand what makes a project successful. For a project to be successful it must be delivered on time, within or under budget, and it must be a quality product that satisfies the needs of the customers. Balance must be achieved between the three concepts of cost, time, and scope. However, a project manager must choose between making the project fast & cheap, cheap & good, or good & fast, the project cannot be all three. The FInal thing a project manager needs to understand is that any changes in scope, cost, or time will affect the others. Think of it like a triangle, if you make one side longer (if you increase cost) the other two sides will shrink (Scope and Time must decrease). If all of these things are considered then you will be on the right track to having a successful project.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
